One Question with... Tia Redd

I asked the candidates for every race in every district across the city, "What will you do if you do not win your race on November 8th?"

Tia is a lifelong Richmonder, graduate of Huguenot High, VCU and recently earned an Educational Doctorate from VSU. She has been an educator for 10 years. Tia is running for School Board in the 8th District.

"If I do not win the election on November 8th nothing really changes for me.  I will still be the same concerned parent and concerned educator.  My children have another 10 plus years in the system so I am invested in seeing that RPS is successful. I remember from high school (Huguenot) a quote my teacher Mr. Ellis had on the board which read "When one of us dies we all die because we are all a part of the same." It goes without saying if our schools are failing than our children suffer, so we all suffer.  I would continue voicing my opinions and putting in my time behind the scenes, because I'm hard wired to care too much (its a gift and a curse) Armed with this current experience I would definitely be preparing to do better the next election."
